About Birdnote Music

I started Birdnote Music to share my music with other churches. The songs found in my "catalog" are the results of arranging and writing music for use in my church's music ministry. I guess you could say that Birdnote Music exists to provide resources for the local church music ministry - mine and hopefully yours!.

The songs of Birdnote Music have been written and/or arranged with the "average" church musician in mind.

Most of the songs in my catalog are fresh arrangements of familiar hymns. Therefore, the hymns found within my catalog would be ideal for the church that is striving to blend traditional and contemporary elements.

I also have several songs that I composed for use in my music ministry. These original songs are suitable for vocal soloists, ensembles, and small to medium sized church choirs.

Birdnote Music has been tried and tested in real churches with real people! Birdnote Music works!

The driving force behind Birdnote Music is a heart for worship. Therefore, my "specialty" is Congregational Worship Music.

You don't need studio musicians to sound "contemporary." You simply need good, achievable music!

Your pianist can't read chord charts? No problem... I provide a "chord chart style" piano score. Your singers aren't good "wood-shedders?" Most aren't! My songs include vocal harmonies beyond basic SATB. Oh, you also have an organ? You guessed it... I provide matching organ parts for several arrangements, too! Drummers will find the "groove" of the songs easily. Plus, I include chord charts for your guitarist and bass player. All you need to do is pass out the music! (I even have brass and woodwind parts available for a number of songs!)
